Ericsson Big Data Usecase

I did this at the start of 2016. I applied for a job at Ericsson for an Architect position and I was asked to submit an architecture for a given problem. The point of sharing this is, that the usecase was interesting. My solution may not be quite complete and optimal, due to being only an interview exercise.

The usecase was to implement an IoT solution across thousands of electric meters fitted at home-users that would stream out usage and other metrics to a data hub managed by Ericsson. The idea is to have alerts and actions based on the patterns and anamolies observed in the metric streams, ultimately leading to optimal load distribution and cost savings. So, in essence, it is a combination of IoT, Big data, ML and decision systems.

Not something that can be fully worked out as an interview exercise. I chose to address mostly the Big Data part.
